We specialize in hot water cylinder replacement/upgrade work (Electric or Gas) and are very proud of the many high-standard installations we have completed in West Auckland since 2007. By choosing us you will not be disappointed.

- To ensure full compliance and understanding an on-site visit will be completed before any mains pressure cylinder upgrade/gas upgrade work starts.
- The cost will be fixed via an emailed quote after clear communication with you after the free site visit.
- Our cylinder and gas bottle slabs are installed with concrete below for support (these support a lot of weight and need to be installed well to help prevent sinking, most others just lay a pre-made slab on the ground).
- We are trade qualified to complete some electrical work required (you will be advised at the site visit, or in the quote before works start if an electrician is needed due to additional works required, we may not be able to quote this but can provide an estimate).

Option 1: 135L Low-Pressure H.W.C Replacement.
Supply and install 1 x new 135L Low-Pressure hot water cylinder in your existing cylinder location.
Includes:
- Removal (from site) and disposal of old H.W.C.
- Supply and installation of new Rheem 135l H.W.C (common sizing). Re-using existing valves and piping. Some piping alterations are included.
- Pipe lagging of hot outlet pipe for better efficiency.
- Seismic restraints.
Price $1,750 plus GST ($2,012.50 including GST)
*With all New internal H.W.C installations, it is mandatory to have a Safe/Drain tray. We include this with separate costing depending on the level of difficulty in running the drain pipe. When replacing a H.W.C in the same location it is unclear in the building code if this is required. On replacements we recommend the installation of a drain tray as good practice but it is not always an option if the drain pipe is impossible or very difficult to run.

Option 2: 180L Mains Pressure Replacement or Upgrade.
Supply and install 1 x new 180l Rheem Mains Pressure hot water cylinder in your existing cylinders location.
Includes:
- Removal (from site) and disposal of old
H.W.C.
- Sealing of any old roof penetration. (if required)
- Supply and installation of 180l Mains Pressure H.W.C (model 31218015) and all necessary valves.
- Installation complying with current plumbing codes.
- Seismic restraints.
- Pipe lagging of hot outlet pipe for better efficiency.
- Relief drains (as required)
- Converting low to mains pressure tapware, 1 x bathroom only. (if required)
Price $2,350 plus GST ($2,702.50 including GST)
– Upgrade to Rheem 180l Short (32218015) add $100+g.s.t
– Upgrade to Rheem 250l (31225015) add $470+g.s.t
–Relocate your existing internal HWC to the subfloor space add $150+g.s.t

Option 3: 180L Mains Pressure External Cylinder Relocation
Supply and install 1 x new 180l Rinnai Mains Pressure hot water cylinder outside or under your house. Connect to the existing hot/cold water piping system.
(Generally, this option is only viable if the existing H.W.C is located on an outside wall or it is on the ground floor with space below the house, ie Subfloor space, to access the piping)
Includes:
- Removal (from site) and disposal of old H.W.C.
- Sealing of any old roof penetration. (if required)
- Supply and installation of 180l Mains Pressure H.W.C (ME180488E30) and all necessary valves.
- Installation complying with current plumbing codes.
- Seismic restraints. (We use Stainless Steel strapping outside not the galvanized strapping commonly used)
- Pipe lagging of hot outlet pipe for better efficiency.
- Converting low to mains pressure tapware 1 x bathroom only. (if required)
- Setting up a concrete pad for the cylinder to sit on.
Price $2,450 plus GST ($2,817.50 including GST)
– Upgrade to Rheem 180l Stainless (325180005) add $350+g.s.t
– Upgrade to Rinnai 275l 3.6kw (ME275685E36) add $500+g.s.t

Option 4: Instant Gas Water Heater Install.
Supply and install 1 x Rinnai A26 or Rheem Integrity 26l instant gas water heater (external) on twin L.P.G gas bottles piped back to your existing plumbing system. The water heater must be located above gas bottles and a maximum of 5 meters each of hot/cold water and gas piping allowed for this price to apply. If you have mains gas, please call us to discuss.
(Generally, this option is only viable if the existing H.W.C is located on an outside wall or is on the ground floor with space below the house ie Subfloor space, to access the piping)
Includes:
- Removal (from site) and disposal of old H.W.C.
- Sealing of any roof penetration. (if required)
- Concrete pavers for gas bottles and organize delivery if required.
- Supply of auto change regulator and chains for gas bottles.
- Supply and installation of 1 x Rinnai A26 Instant gas water heater to suit requirements.
- Installation complying with current plumbing and gas codes.
- Converting low to mains pressure tapware 1 x bathroom only. (if required)
- Gas compliance certificate.
- All our external piping is tidy/straight and fitted by welded copper piping to last in the harsh N.Z elements (not crimped copper or plastic). If you are looking at another company’s quote/cost ask if they do the same?
Price $2,800 plus GST ($3,220.00 including GST)
-Upgrade to Rinnai EF26 (Over 10% more efficient) add $400+g.s.t. Includes condensate drain up to 5 meters. Must have sufficient discharge point near by.
-Add new controllers from $300+g.s.t each.
-Gas connection for cooking also available at extra cost.

Note; There are certain locations where this type of heater can and cannot be installed. There may not be a suitable location in your building. We offer a free site visit to make sure that this is a good option for your specific installation. Ideally a clear external wall space near the kitchen/bathroom at least 1000mm long between any openings (windows/doors) and access to below the house.
Option 5: Replace an existing instant gas water heater
Supply and install 1 x Rinnai A26 or Rheem Integrity 26l Instant gas water heater to replace an existing instant gas water heater in the same location.
Includes:
- Removal (from site) and disposal of the old water heater.
- Supply and installation of Rinnai A26 of required gas type.
- New pipe connections.
- Gas compliance certificate.
Price $1,700 plus GST ($1,955.00 including GST)
-Upgrade to Rinnai EF26 (Over 10% more efficient) add $400+g.s.t. Includes condensate drain up to 5 meters. Must have sufficient discharge point near by.
Replace existing controllers from $250+g.s.t. each.

Option 6: Replace an existing external gas H.W.C.
Supply and install 1 x new 130l Rheem Stellar Mains Pressure hot water cylinder outside your house in existing cylinder position. Connect to the existing hot/cold/gas piping. (This is the ideal Vulcan Freeloader replacement)
Includes:
- Removal (from site) and disposal of old H.W.C.
- Supply and installation of mains pressure Rheem Stellar 130l (850330N0Z) and all new valves.
- Installation complying with current plumbing + gas codes.
- Pipe lagging of hot outlet pipe for better efficiency.
- Seismic restraints.
- All external piping in Copper Pipe
- Connection to existing gas pipe and certification
Price $3,500.00 plus GST ($4,025.00 including GST)
– Upgrade to Rheem Stella 160l (850360N0Z) add $500
*If the existing cylinder is not supported on a suitable concrete base there will be an extra cost of $100-$200+g.s.t.
